Our inaugural 3-month long SPARC Nonprofit Social Impact & STEM Bootcamp recently concluded and I couldn’t be prouder of our SPARC Scholars. The three finalists tackled social issues that are pressing to their local community. Our scholars came out of the program equipped with a growth mindset along with a richer network of mentors, an arsenal of newly developed soft skills that are critical for tomorrow’s workforce, and a deeper understanding of STEM and Social Impact. At a glance (follow @SPARC for individual stories next week!): 🎨 Raised $1.5k worth of school supplies for 100+ students and teachers from a low-income elementary school in San Jose. ✏️Countless hours dedicated to SAT tutoring with low-income high school students who can’t pay for prep classes. 🍎Social mentorship for students who lacked family support and guidance at home during a tumultuous time of transition.
