To be able to do what you want to do is incredible freedom.” - Maya Lin Adding to Maya Lin's quote, the American Dream to me is about resilience, imagining the impossibility, and giving back. The resilience to keep pushing forward despite setbacks and challenges. The opportunity to imagine your wildest dream and actually making that dream a reality. Most importantly, it's about remembering your roots and paying it forward once you make it. My family and I first immigrated to America nearly two decades ago. Given my our financial situation and limited resources growing up, I could have never imagined myself attending a top public university like University of California, Berkeley or even starting my own company in the heart of Silicon Valley. Or even the audacity to envision myself making it to the Forbes list. From an immigrant to a college grad to a storyteller to an entrepreneur, community pollinator, and mentor today.
