Like many young professionals who grew up from underprivileged & low income backgrounds, both Jessie Salas & I had a tough time navigating our path into tech & telling our story. We're both blessed to have mentors in our lives who have helped & empowered us in our career. 😇 However, we never grew up knowing the importance of mentorship, personal branding, or sharing our story. Oftentimes, many of us are too shy or don't know how to properly tell our story of adversities & triumphs. But what if I tell you that a story not told or shaped by you will be formed by others. This was why we started SPARC (Non-Profit) last year to help young professionals approach mentorship & storytelling in a meaningful way. We're so excited to relaunch SPARC as a non-profit with the help of Sonia Sng & other members of our board of directors this summer!
