Excellent article by the Wall Street Journal’s Chip Cutter on Amazon’s announcement to invest in training its current employees to learn technical skills that will enable them to take on new jobs within the company. There’s so much research and talk about how automation and technology will eliminate jobs. Companies now need to think about how to proactively help workers prepare for the changes ahead.
