Lululemon announced to buy Mirror for $500M cash. Wow! That's quite of an exit! This is probably one of the best outcomes for a hardware tech company especially considering that the company just started 4 years ago and the product got launched just about 2 years ago. #impressive Mirror expects $100M revenue by the end of 2020; that's from the combination of selling Mirrors and $39/month fitness contents. This acquisition also makes it one of the most successful female founder exists in the tech world. Huge congratulations to Brynn Jinnett Putnam , Hayley Bay Barna & everyone else involved. A few learnings from this stellar performance of Mirror and Bryann: 1) High quality products with clear value propositions win. 2) Having a software strategy and subscription model is critical for hardware companies which allows them to scale their companies in different ways and generate substantial returns. 3) Founders with strong affinity for their category, background in their industry, and vision for consumers' real needs can create magical products that scale fast. #bestproducts #femaleleadership #femalefounders #femaleleaders #productmarketfit #subscriptionmodel #hardware #exitstrategy #mirror #healthandfitness #wellness #mergersandacquisitions First Round Capital #fitness
