Airbnb isn’t perfect. But after spending about 120 nights this year in them, probably in about 40 different beds, in many different countries, states, at different price points, it overwhelmingly feels like a good thing to exist. I’m met wonderful people, been cooked for many times, helped with dead chickens and medical emergencies, had out of this world views, seen crazy tastes, met the whole families of owners, and just been able to live in places not stay. The more the site can move back to owners who want a bit of extra income, people who love to host, quirky places you don’t typically get to see, getting a local flavor etc, the more it feels brilliant.
