Little tip. It is safe to assume that people really like helping other people. Generally speaking, those people with the most influence / money / authority to help, have some of the greatest demands on their time & attention. So when asking for help, try to do three things. 1) Make it as easy as possible to help them. Don't reduce the scope of help needed, but reduce the mental effort required form the other person. 2) Be specific and honest about the help you need. These are the big two. The 3rd is a bonus. 3) Showing you've been thoughtful and empathetic is wonderful.
