Had an incredible weekend at the School of Life Conference in New York this weekend. Learned so much about the world, and myself. One of the most obvious questions it raises is how on earth do we have 10-20 years of formal education without ever being asked to really learn about ourselves, to really ponder on how to really build relationships, to communicate clearly. How to be calm, how to derive meaning and purpose, how to be resilient, tolerant etc. Seems we expect these things to come from other classes or just by being alive, or to be passed to us innately as instinct. Turns out this course makes it very clear how wrong this is. If you'd ever consider going, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.
