Between finishing up my next National Geographic feature on women's #globalhealth leadership during #COVID19 and working with two fellows with The Aspen Institute , I haven't even had time to catch #Hamilton on Disney Streaming Services ! But I'm grateful for the chance to support amazing women like Damaris Matoke-Muhia , the #AspenNewVoices fellow I met in Nairobi back in February. In her role as a researcher with the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the (PAMCA) Pan African Mosquito Control Association , she sees how women transform communities through their largely unremunerated work to keep their families and neighbors healthy and safe. And be on the lookout for #AspenHealthyCommunities fellow Emma Robbins upcoming OpEd. In her work as the Navajo Water Project director for DIGDEEP Water , Emma is fighting for access to clean water and sanitation on the Navajo Nation Reservation where she was born. She is also a brilliant artist and community activist, and it has been wonderful getting to know her.
