So excited that I can finally announce that I’ve begun working with The Aspen Institute and the Aetna, a CVS Health Company ’ Foundation on their new #HealthyCommunities Fellowship Program. The six Community Leaders from around the U.S. include advocates for criminal justice reform and Native American women’s rights, health systems researchers, reproductive health champions and government leaders working with underserved communities. They’ll participate in a year-long program designed to sharpen and amplify their messages through public speaking, writing and networking. I’ll be supporting the fellows in their goal of writing and publishing Op-Ed columns. Guess I’ve come full circle from that first Newsweek “My Turn” column I wrote back in December of 1982!
