For #ThrowbackThursday, remembering my visit to the W.E.B. DuBois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture in Accra, #Ghana, back in April of 2003. The first picture below is of me standing near DuBois' tomb, after an awe-filled tour of the Centre. It would take far too long to explain the impact that trip had on me. It's why I spent nine years living in Uganda and Kenya. And it's why I'm so thrilled that Reggie Singleton , and the young African American boys and young men he mentors with "The Males Place Manhood Training Program" in the @City of Charlotte have just returned from what looks like an incredible adventure in Ghana! Keep up the incredibly inspiring work, Baba Reggie. You are planting some powerful seeds in those young minds. For more information about the W.E.B.
