On United Nations #WorldChildrensDay, another image from July 7th, 2007, at an Internally Displaced Persons  camp in Northern #Uganda. I wonder where these defiantly jubilant boys are today. I wonder if they are even still alive. And I wonder if they achieved the peace and victory that their little fingers were telegraphing to me in this moment. Then I focus on the girl with the baby on her hip. I wonder if she grew to have children of her own, or if she died of a preventable disease or bled out during early childbirth.
