For #ThrowbackThursday, always remember that you are someone else’s dream. My sister Julie Newell died of colon cancer in October of 2007. She was my second mother, the one who taught me love and good graces. Where my career was concerned, she was the wind beneath my wings. Julie would have been very impressed that I got to visit the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa in 2012. She would have marveled at so many of the adventures I had over the past decade. When I think that I am just one year younger than Julie was when she passed, and consider how many goals and adventures I am still determined to achieve,  I know Julie’s counting on me to keep chasing them.
