Nurses suffer from violence at work. I’m not surprised to read that nurses are more often harmed on the job than cops. Working with people who are sick, injured and sometimes in trouble can bring out the worse in people. When I worked in the ER I was harassed, kicked, slammed against walls and gurneys. All health care workers deserve protection against harm when trying to save lives and stamp out diseases!
