On the 3rd anniversary of Nelson Mandela's passing, I'm reflecting on the tremendous honor I had of meeting him at the National Press Club in October of 1994, and on my visit to the Robben Island Museum in January of 2012. My time on the African Continent taught me that there are no bars strong enough to restrict or confine the truth. The worst prisons on Earth are the ones we build in our own minds.
