Like many others, I bought a cycle during the lockdown. But I didn’t get to ride much due to a shoulder problem, also caused by the lockdown. I finally started riding recently. This morning I attempted a hill...Mount Mary for those who know Mumbai. I managed to get two-thirds of the way up, then paused to catch my breath. I decided to turn back. I thought I knew how to change gears...turns out I hadn’t quite mastered it. Not good on a steep slope...So fell on my face! Luckily, the injury is minor. And my nose is intact. My lesson - master the cycle before attempting to use in a difficult situation. The same goes for investing, or even trading.
