In 2010, I was a Dev Manager in Windows Server and System Center. I was debugging a piece of code one day, when a colleague walked in and introduced himself. He praised me for writing code as a manager, but promptly informed me not to forget that my engineers were my foremost responsibility. As I reassured him I realized that :), our friendship was immediately forged. Over the years, he has become and remains one of my closest friends.
