The popularity of both our recently published studies about the use of artificial intelligence in the future of healthcare proves that it's high time for everyone to know at least the basics of A.I., especially working in medicine and healthcare. If you ever wonder where to start, here are three books that heavily impacted how I see A.I. 1) Human Compatible by Stuart Russels provided the perfect context and historical background to understand where A.I. is coming from. 2) You Look Like a Thing and I Love You by Janelle Shane showed me what A.I. is really capable of today (and what it is not). 3) Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom gave a glimpse into the far future of A.I. and described where it is heading.
