What factors affect the likelihood of any particular human action? Research suggests that six “Elements of Simplicity” play a significant role. According to BJ Fogg of Stanford's Persuasive Technology Lab, ‘non-routine’ is one of these six elements. This can entail sticking to a routine, even in the face of other barriers, in hopes of maintaining simplicity.
