Do you know the feeling when 1500 hours of hard work is _beginning_ to pay off? I occasionally report about my chess journey and how I try to understand the language of A.I. through playing chess. Well, it seems my pursuit is not in vain. After sitting for 8 hours at a chess competition (and those extra 2000 for preparation), I won a bronze medal at a local tournament. I took part in the same competition last year and barely gained a few points. At that time, I had about an 500-hours investment in chess. The 1000-hour difference shows not only on the final scores but also in my relationship with A.I. While I was simply flabbergasted when I saw Leela Chess Zero making an exciting move last year, I gradually start to understand these movements and their "motives" now. It's an incredibly exciting journey!
