This past week a childhood hero of most South Africans was awarded one of the highest honours that a citizen can be awarded. William Smith, our learning channel superhero that helped so many of us learn and excel at Maths and Science through the Learning Channel on public broadcaster TV, was awarded the National Order of the Baobab. An award so well deserved for his contribution to learning!
