Freedom is a privilege we enjoy due to the sacrifices of many brave souls who preceded us. When I was in school, we would wear our crisp uniform for Republic Day, do march-past, have programs to enact the Independence movement and enjoy the free snacks distributed in school. Today, most schools just make it a holiday, and the kids miss out on learning that freedom is not free and shouldnt be taken for granted.
