I got a glimpse of his #life reading "Travelling to Infinity" by his wife, Jane Hawkins. It made me think at many levels. He would have been 79 today (DOB: Jan 08, 1942). Reducing expectations to zero is a powerful thought; it doesn't mean you give up. It means it frees you from fear and failure. Also, no expectations mean you free yourself from external recognition to validate your work and achievements. This is so apt for Hawkins, who was never awarded a Nobel prize, although, in 2020 (two years after his passing), a Nobel prize was given for his work on black holes, which came too late for Hawkins. #Inspiration #Motivation #WhatInspiresMe …see more
