While it’s tricky business to try and predict how innovations will shape our long-term future, understanding trends and imagining new ways our future might be shaped, can give companies an edge in preparing for the emerging opportunities. #IndiaTrends2018 is an endeavour to explore the trends that are emerging from India’s rapidly evolving digital economy and summarize current opportunities for entrepreneurs & corporations across sectors. The growing digital economy stands out in scale of the opportunity before us: the 2 billion Indian devices expected to be connected to the internet by 2021, represents a potentially trillion dollar opportunity. At the same time, employability of our citizens and women’s participation are concerns – a mere 26% of Indian women are employed in the workforce (among the lowest in the world).
