Detroit was once one of America's great business ecosystems until it was crushed by the automation of manufacturing jobs and a changing economy. A city that once had a population of 1.7 million now stands at around 700,000. Detroit's history and its rolling comeback are emblematic of true American grit, perseverance, and what happens when leaders ignore changing technologies.
