The use of this ID-Cap System may also help track and improve adherence to medications for the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, such as HIV, hepatitis C, and tuberculosis, enabling achievement of better therapeutic outcomes and public health goals. This technology also provides the potential to identify medication-adherent patients in clinical trials who can more accurately reflect the efficacy and safety of the medications being evaluated.
