It's a remarkable feeling being able to inspire people across the world, let alone those walking the halls of my old high school! I was NOT the best student. I had a really difficult time learning... Test-taking? Forget it! I lived a pretty mediocre life as a C-student. I didn't get into an impressive college. I didn't score a single scholarship. And I worked my tail off throughout school to afford it all. But my high school teachers saw potential in every single student, regardless of test scores. Finding my fit in the world as a voice for a topic highly suppressed by social stigmas changed everything. I finally found my passion. Fueled by environmental triggers like unconscious bias and a broken application system, I am determined to change the world! Thank you for the years of education, building the skills I needed to accomplish what I have overcome, and for the recognition, Monona Grove School District !
