Have you ever felt INVISIBLE? Tip 3 in my #10Tips10Days series about living a fulfilled life of gratitude is all about acknowledgment. A lot of people don't know this, but I lost 75lbs following during my recovery and remission - but at my heaviest, I was invisible. Nobody wanted to call me or hang out. Nobody said "hi" in the halls or at the grocery store. During my diagnosis, friends distanced themselves and stopped inviting me out and calling me up. It's way too easy to feel invisible in this noisy world which is why it's SO important to acknowledge others! I DARE you to say "hello" to every stranger you come across, make eye contact and smile. It's hard with social anxiety or low self-esteem - trust me, I get it. I've been there. But believe me when I say that the smallest bit of acknowledgment will lift your heart up and spread like wildfire, making a huge shift in happiness, fulfillment, and gratitude...
