Yesterday I shared an experience of mine that ruffled some feathers and I had absolutely NO idea until a stranger brought it to my attention. The issue? This person approached conflict by attacking me. It was completely inappropriate and reinforced the importance of eloquence and grace when delivering feedback. I wanted to take this opportunity to... ➡ Apologize if I caused any pain - that certainly was NOT my intent as someone who encourages inclusion, inspiration, and empowerment, living through adversity. ➡ Emphasize the importance of feedback and to step up with grace and heart when you see something that seems a bit off. 9x out of 10, when something offends you, it's out of IGNORANCE, not HATE. It's IMPERATIVE to keep this in mind when you approach someone who has offended you. Take the opportunity to EDUCATE them and GROW together. Remind yourself that we are ALL brothers and sisters of the human race, no matter what differentiates us. We have TOO MUCH HATE in this world. The moment we start to work together to SOLVE problems we'll grow as a community and combat negativity and mental illness.
