"I don't want to come across too salesy". Do you know what's worse - being awks about how awesome you are When you're on social media, you're essentially selling your authority, influence, and expertise. It's a limitation that we set for ourselves. I became more confident in selling when I started hanging with Justin Michael and The Salesborgs™ community. I'm a good marketer. I became a better sales person. haha Fundamentally, marketing sells the hype and trust. Selling is presenting the solution to your problem - a good product does sell itself. The common thread between the two: know who your customer is. If you don't know your ICP/Target market - it's really hard to attract their attention, and selling them anything. Instead of saying: ah I don't want to come across salesy. Rework the narrative and be confident about what you're offering. It's the difference between charging $100 p/hour to $1000 p/h (guess where I sit? :P) Be confident.
