Do typos make me look unprofessional? The funny thing is I love reading. My mum couldn't afford child care and would chuck 5 of us kids into the library. It was my Google. I grew up in non-English household, my mum was originally from Vietnam. I remember an old boss, he gave me a 2-hour lecture on looking professional when I emailed our clients with typos. Then I became a professional content creator. Brands would pay for my stories and insights. I grew channels. I make a living off on content. You don't lose business over a typo. That's small-minded. I have written typos on proposals, but the direction was strong. I closed deals on a typo or two. I still do typos. On my emails, on my posts on LinkedIn. I prioritise on the importance of the message, on the big picture. The typos actually is a secret power I use to make mself more relatable. They help me find free editors and proofreaders. It gives people permission to connect with me. Grammarly helped. But it doesn't convey my personality or quirks. Don't let someone hold you back. It's them wanting you to succeed. I think haha.
