I met Shay ☀️ Rowbottom back in 2017 — we became friends. I helped her get started on LinkedIn. She’s been crushing it ever since. At the time, I felt like a dumb kid finally transitioning into doing what he wanted. I looked up to Shay and her partners because they were my age running a multi-million dollar company. Meeting them, changed my relationship with success. There are some of us that overestimate our significance. “Me, me, me.” I’ve always struggled with the opposite. “Am I significant? Does it matter if I am?” COVID has changed a lot for me. Forced me to ask myself questions that I hadn’t thought of asking. Forced me to feel things that I never thought I would feel. But most importantly it’s shown me that there are multiple sides to every story. Every encounter. I know that I’ve impacted lives. But I could never articulate the impact that so many of you have had on me. So thank you Shay — and so many others — for impacting me.
