2019 is the year I lost my little brother. It will always be one of the worst years of my life. But, it's also a year that sparked a big change in me. Grief has a way of doing that. It's something I'm keen on exploring more — this altered state throughout grief. It's something that I'm developing an experiment/film around. Because it's something we've all been through, or will go through. And the world we live in is not set up for it. ❌ We don't like talking about it. ❌ We don't know how to talk about it. ❌ And typically (in the US) only 3-5 bereavement days are given. Currently, there are no federal laws that require employers to provide employees either paid or unpaid leave.
