Real talk: My first two companies failed. A big difference between those startups and my current company is this: there is now one person accountable for every major area of our business. 2019 was our best year. But it was also a very hard year because we spent the bulk of it working with our business coach [ Rebecca Heidepriem ]. We were getting organized, working on systems & processes, and just making our services better. It was painful 😅. In a good way. 2020 is already our best year in business and we're only in Q1. There should only be one person accountable for each part of the business. For smaller teams that one person can be accountable for multiple parts of the business, but you should never have two people accountable for the same area. Because nothing gets done that way. Someone has to be in charge. Sales is a HUGE part of my role. But I report to Izzy when it comes to sales because he's accountable for that part of the business.
