I'm the host of the Humans that Game podcast, an avid gamer and plan on investing an esports organization within the next few years. I'm obsessed with two games right now when it comes to story & community: Overwatch & Apex Legends. - People relate to the characters in the game and get excited to play them. - The companies do a great job of explaining their back stories and relating skills to player play-styles. - There are communities built around each of these games and their characters. It's similar with your personal brand. You need to know WHY people should follow you. You need to know what separates you from others, what resonates with the community that you're building, and you need to be able to effectively communicate your story.
