How to land a TEDx Talk ( or other speaking engagements). 👇🏽🎤 ✅ Build a recognizable personal or company brand (e.g. have something to back you up). ✅ Speak about something that is different or positioned differently than other TED talks. ✅ Record all of your talks. Edit [potentially viral] snippets and post to social media. I usually always get at least one speaking inquiry from speaking videos that I post. ✅ Have a catchy Title. ✅ Make friends with organizers. If they can't get you into their events, they often know other organizers. ✅ Don't focus so much on landing a TEDx. It's an awesome opportunity but often times it won't make or break your career. ✅ Have examples of you speaking. Even if that means taking on free speaking gigs to get your feet wet.
