If you’re getting into public speaking👇🏽🎤 1). Don’t shy away from the smaller events. They often lead to large scale events. My first one was in front of about 50 people. That’s lead to VidCon, TEDx, and the upcoming INBOUND. 2). It will vary based off your goals, but don’t just speak to the same people. Barely anyone in this audience knew me. Which was an awesome opportunity to get my name out there. 3). Don’t ever let anyone convince you that you need to be a certain way. We can all definitely improve (I know I can), but find & develop your own style. 4). Remember that you’re speaking to people. It’s not about the numbers. 5). You’re not going to be perfect. You’ll mess up (a lot). Learn from those mistakes. 6). Don’t take all the advice you hear from people like me. Test everything and find what works for you.
