I started my first company out of college. And I failed. Miserably. Burned through my savings, my relationships went to shit, my team fell apart. I was renting out my extra rooms in my apartment just to stay afloat. And now things are going well on attempt #3. Two years later I’ve spoken on large stages, I have my TEDx coming up, was named 25 under 25 in Wisconsin, and my company is growing quickly. It would be easy to say that the most rewarding moment was that when I look back I could say that I did it. Or that I proved people wrong. But that wouldn’t be true. I think the most rewarding moment for me was 1). when I realized that someone like me was capable of being successful and 2). when I realized that I’m nowhere near done yet. There is no such thing as “making it” and I don’t think there should be. As you grow and evolve so should your dreams. But if you haven’t already know this 1). someone like you CAN be successful and 2). you’re nowhere near done yet.
