While cleaning out a shed on our cottage property I came across a box of old college memorabilia that had been sitting there since the 1970. Many generations of field mice had wintered in it and it was full of excrement. I was about to heave it into the dumpster when I noticed a roll of super 8mm film sitting at the bottom. It was my long lost first production I had made for my film101 class. It looked destroyed but I sent it to #digmypics to see if they could restore it. I remember the professor told us we needed to explore the topic of mental health for our first assignment. There was a lot of drinking and recreational drugs around my dorm and a fair amount of anxiety, depression and alcoholism to go with it. I don't think that has changed much on any college campus. In retrospect I wonder if this topic stayed with me because when I was approached to be an early investor in a start up that wanted to explore the use #psychedelics as medicine for mental health, I dug in deep and made it a core holding in my venture portfolio. As we approach the end of #2020 #MindMed $MMEDF has become my best performing investment for the year. Talk about foreshadowing!
