Today is my birthday 🎂 , and I’m thinking about gifts, though not the ones you might imagine. 🎁 When I work with leaders on crafting their career stories, I’m always searching for the essence of who they are. I'm a naturally curious person, so I'm fascinated to learn what makes people tick. I find the spark in each person and shine a spotlight 🔦 on it so that others are drawn—like me—to their presence. ✨ And over and over again, I find that people don’t appreciate or acknowledge their inherent gifts.🤦🏼‍♀️ You know that thing that comes so naturally to you? That thing that you take for granted because you assume others can do it too? They can’t.❌ We undervalue our gifts because we don’t see them as gifts at all. We mistakenly believe them to be mundane, unimportant and run-of-the-mill, and that they come easy to everyone else.🙄 They don’t.❌ Today, I’d like you to appreciate your gifts.
