500+ connections
Our ability to communicate and connect with others determines the quality of our relationships—and our success. Here are three ways to incorporate small actions that yield substantial rewards, creating a ripple effect: 1. Up your awareness of yourself and others. It makes sense to pay attention to the cues you exhibit and whether or not they’re being reciprocated. You’ll know that you’re developing rapport if your audience members begin to mirror you in return. If instead, their body language is mismatched, there’s a high likelihood that they’re not convinced and aren’t aligned with your message. 2. Empathy can be your greatest gift. When you lead with soft skills such as empathy, you’ll naturally mirror the facial expressions and body language of others, which signals that you understand the feelings of the people around you. And that understanding lays the groundwork to form deeper, more meaningful connections. 3. Don’t forget the Golden Rule. The principle of treating others the way you’d like to treated (or better!) has stood the test of time because it works—and it tends to be contagious. Treating people well will do more to increase your business than any amount of advertising or marketing ever could. #leadership #career #success #mindset #empathy #awareness
