So I've been progresing in chess studying openings and exercising 2-3 hours every day. I'm around 1400 ELO on chess.com (an increase of 600 points since November). I learn so much about how A.I. will be used in medicine on the way. Rudolf Spielmann said that in chess, ""Play the opening like a book, the middle game like a magician, and the endgame like a machine.” There is a huge overlap with how we practice medicine. The opening is obtaining data and information about patients. It should be done like reading a book. Seamless and by the rules. The middle game is the hard part: making a diagnosis. It is even currently being done like magicians do their job. A lot of people don't understand it but it's fascinating, hard and creative. The endgame is the therapy and monitoring part which should work like a machine: automated following guidelines. This is only possible by implementing artificial narrow intelligence into the daily work of medical professionals. This is why it's so important to understand the basics of A.I.
