An impressive late day rally did more than erase an almost 300 point loss for the Dow. It also allowed it to almost break even this week as a whole, as well as maintain a solid performance for the month -- albeit under-performing the surging NADSAQ and S&P in all three time periods (reflecting the continued impact of tech). More generally, and judging from the price action of the last couple of weeks, two inter-related themes seem clear: The "stay at home" positioning is again dominating the "re-opening" portfolios; and Unless the stocks benefit from a positive multi-faceted theme (as is the case for several tech names), they risk getting stuck in the muddled middle ... between good technicals and uncertain fundamentals/policies. #markets #stocks #tech #investing #investors …see more
