The latest Wall Street Journal survey of economists is out. It is more pessimistic than a month ago, with a deeper Nike-type “swoosh" for US growth -- that is a larger contraction this quarter followed by a bigger bounce in the second half of the year. For 2020 as a whole, GDP is projected to fall by 6.8% (compared to the 4.9% predicted last month). My own estimate, FWIW, is in the minus 8-10% for 2020 including a consistent range for Q2 contraction (30-40%) but not as sharp as a bounce thereafter. https://lnkd.in/eUQEfaP #economy #wsj #growth …see more
