Job hunt CANNOT be based only on feelings. Get data to back up your efforts: ☝🏼Organize it! Prepare an Excel/Monday/Huntr dedicated to your job search ☝🏼Document every company you applied for with the application date and position details. ☝🏼Document every rejection or process ☝🏼Track the source you applied through Maybe when you apply to Team Lead roles you get rejected but for senior positions, you get to an interview? Maybe when you apply through friends you get to phone interview more easily? Job search IS a job. And just like most high-tech jobs, data is crucial. Don’t ignore your feelings. Of course not. Intuition goes a long way. But your gut instincts can mislead you, and intuition may fail you. It happens. Data’s job is to make sure you get it right.
