Do's and Don'ts in your job search I see a lot [!!!] of mistakes in the past few months and in this kind of arena you should be in your best shape! These mistakes cost a lot. #Don 't- Upload a LinkedIn post that says you've been looking for a job in the past 6 months and that everyone rejects you/ treats you unfairly in the hiring process. #Why ? You are your own brand! If you are a brand you should emphasize your professional skills by sharing interesting content and showing interesting projects. You can get empathy from friends but LinkedIn isn't the place for that. #What should you do instead? Ask a friend to upload a post about you as a reference or focus on side projects and show them on LinkedIn. #Don 't- Use the "Open to work" LinkedIn frame #Why - Although it seems like a cool feature, I know recruiters who say they decline to connect requests from people with the frame in order to prevent inconvenience because they do not have jobs to offer. #What should you do instead? Open the "let recruiters know you are open to new opportunity button", it's discreet and won't show up to recruiters at your company. And yes, marketing-wise it looks much better. All of this info is based on my thoughts research and experience. Feel free to share your opinion. Good luck! #Jobs #HR
