Last week was tough. I gave a presentation to a group I really wanted to impress and felt that I bombed. Didn’t have the time to prepare like I wanted. Wasn’t as confident as I had hoped to be. I felt completely off my game. After it was over, I wanted to crawl under a rock. But then, something interesting happened. Attendees started reaching out to me here on LinkedIn, telling me they loved the presentation and that they wanted to connect. Another told me that I “rocked” (really?)...and that they appreciated my insight. The company contact emailed me, saying she felt it was a “fabulous session” that was “perfect for this audience.” All of this reminded me of something: We are often our own worst critics. Moral of the story: Nobody's perfect.
