I was really taken aback last night when I heard a new coder speak on his 13 years of homelessness in San Fransisco’s Tenderloin district. He (left most in the photo) was saying how grateful he was for an organization that pushed him to love tech again. Yesterday, Code Tenderloin hosted their finale event at 500 Startups HQ. Instead of going home for the day, I decided to sit in. Code Tenderloin is “a workforce development nonprofit that aims to secure long-term employment for underserved communities in San Francisco.” It’s moments like the one last night that make me want to share stories of entrepreneurs and techies.
