QUESTION FOR LINKEDIN: Do you think everyone should go to college? I had a great experience at the University of Virginia (I stayed for both undergraduate and law school), and I had incredible professors. As a Black woman, people often don't take me seriously until they find out I went to a top law school (which I hate), so I'm not mad at my decision to pursue higher education! BUT ALSO, there's no reason why school should cost as much as a house! Bill Gates, Oprah, and Mark Zuckerberg are some of the most "successful" people in the world, and they don't have college degrees. So maybe I'm a big dummy for spending so much money on school, lol (cuz Jesus knows I got loans for DAYS!! 😩) What do I know. What do any of us know? What's the point of any of this? Will any of it even matter if we're attacked by aliens tomorrow, or the apocalypse begins? (Kiki, stay focused). So do I think college is worth it? For instance, if you're an HR leader charged with diversifying your workforce, be aware that your organization's external reputation is affected by all of its communications — including job descriptions.
