"Typically you know as a kid, or even an adult, where you’re sleeping tonight but when you are in the care system, and in prison as well, you can get moved overnight with no notice at all. So life becomes uncertain and you get used to that uncertainty. I think for most people, they avoid uncertainty but with a tech startup you don’t get much more uncertain than that so you learn to live with it.
